The mens pre-tours for the Des Moines, Iowa Summer Board Meeting, July 15th and 16th, took the men to the Vermeer plant, Cemen Tech, and the Midwest Construction Expo & Field Day at "The Iowa Farm". |

Iowa LICA owns an 80 acre farm where they are using conservation techniques to improve the site. The equipment pictures are from "The Iowa Farm". The 2009 Midwest Construction Expo & Field Day was held in conjunction with the Summer Board Meetings. Contractors were able to run the equipment that associates furnished. Our opening reception was held at "The Farm" as we enjoyed a fine meal. |

Louis McFarland and Steve Gerten accepted a check and award for Ohio's membership gain. The entertainment for Friday night was started by Louis McFarland doing a very good job as auctioneer! "Jane Deere" brought dozens of toys to be auctioned with over $3,000.00 going to the scholarship fund. But the real entertainment was yet to come!! It was very enlightening to watch adults trying to learn a new routine. Square dancing was on the agenda and the fun began! I know the ones participating had fun, but so did us spectators. The last 2 pictures show the group enjoying the many great meals we had at the summer board meetings. |
